A Head Above the Rest
“Park Circle Head Spa was born from that unexpected nudge, a love for what I do, and a feeling that everything had aligned exactly when it was supposed to.”
Have you been feeling lately that your brain is like a browser with too many tabs open? Like your thoughts are running on overdrive? Like your mind is tangled in knots? It’s not a coincidence that there are so many metaphors linking a person’s state of mind with stress in the body. Layla Mustafa Druyos, owner of Park Circle Head Spa, might have just the solution for you.
Druyos was a hairstylist for over fifteen years. After stepping away from the industry for a while, she realized how much she missed it—and the connection she had with her clients. That’s when a salon-owner friend from upstate came for a visit and told Druyos about a “head spa bed” she had just ordered for her salon, and about the emerging world of head spa treatments, where relaxation and scalp health come together in one experience.
Druyos began to research this emerging “head spa” world, and from that moment on, it felt to her like divine intervention. From discovering her beautiful space in the heart of Park Circle to creating the experience she had envisioned, every next step came together almost effortlessly. She tells us, “Park Circle Head Spa was born from that unexpected nudge, a love for what I do, and a feeling that everything had aligned exactly when it was supposed to.”
Druyos’s head spa officially opened for business at the end of April. Her mission is to care for every client with intention, creating an intimate space where they can heal, de-stress, and restore balance. She wants her clients walking out the door feeling lighter, more relaxed, and a little happier than when they arrived. What sets Park Circle Head Spa apart from a typical spa or salon is the personal connection. Druyos is both the owner and the person performing every service, bringing her fifteen years in the beauty industry into every personalized, one-on-one experience.
As Druyos says, “Life is busy enough. I wanted to create a space where you can close the door, slow down, and let someone else take care of you for a while. Park Circle Head Spa is about giving people permission to pause.”
So give yourself permission to book an appointment. And, by all means, please close some of those open browser tabs in your head.
