No two people have the same financial journey over the course of their lifetime. REV Federal Credit Union not only understands that; they celebrate it. This is a credit union deeply rooted in the Lowcountry community and committed to helping it thrive.

Why? Perhaps it’s simply a matter of their history. REV was founded at the Charleston Air Force Base (now Joint Base Charleston) way back in 1955. Their logo is a nod to that history; the fin you see is actually the tail of an airplane. REV also introduced the first automatic teller machine (ATM) in the entire state of South Carolina. With history like that, it’s easy to understand why they feel like such an important part of the community.

But REV won’t ever be content to rest on those historical laurels. Instead, they lean deeper into their mission of growth with purpose, both for themselves and their neighbors. They’re a full-service financial institution, working with consumers and commercial businesses while also providing wealth management services. That’s not something credit unions are typically known
for, and it has helped REV earn the title of Charleston’s Best Credit Union from readers of The Post & Courier for five years in a row.

REV is passionate about being an active and engaged community partner and is heavily invested in supporting local causes through volunteerism and philanthropic giving. Their team members can often be found at community-focused events throughout the Lowcountry, whether volunteering with area nonprofits or sponsoring special events. REV is even the Official Credit Union of the Charleston RiverDogs, so you can almost always find them down at Joe Riley Stadium, celebrating America’s favorite pastime (and a really good hot dog).
