Mugsy Jeans Wants You Comfortable
And honestly, we’re listening
With a name like Mugsy and a promise of jeans that feel like sweatpants, should we all be sprinting to their storefront on King Street?
Let’s discuss.
First, a little context. While Mugsy Jeans is a chain, it’s far from ubiquitous. This isn’t Gap or Levi’s territory. With just a handful of brick-and-mortar locations in major cities—Chicago, D.C., Boston, and a few others—it feels less like fast fashion and more like we’re catching a brand on the rise. We at Fig Magazine are 100% here for that.
Now, fair warning: this is technically a men’s store, but ladies, please don’t panic. We promise it’s not time to despair, because trust us, you’ll be buying yourself a pair (or three) too. A girl’s got to be comfy, right?
So what are Mugsy jeans? In a word: soft. Actually, make that cozy. From flannel-lined jeans perfect for Charleston’s unseasonably cold 2026 winter, to their cashmere-infused (yes, really) Cashtech™ fabric designed to soothe winter skin, to classic stretch denim for the traditionalists, there’s a fabric for every preference. Add in styles like chinos, corduroys, utility pants, joggers, and even shorts, and suddenly these aren’t just jeans—they’re everyday, everywhere pants.
And before you assume Mugsy only has your bottom half covered, rest assured there’s plenty for the top half too. Shirts, hoodies, and jackets round out the offerings, all with the same emphasis on comfort and clean, wearable style. Honestly? Their stuff looks good.
As it should. Price points start just over $100 for most pieces which, for King Street (IYKYK), feels downright reasonable. The quality backs it up, too, with more than 40,000 reviews available if you’re the research-before-you-buy type.
Mugsy Jeans has only been open in Charleston for about six months, but we’re already hoping they’re here to stay. So get in early, get in often, and get into something unbelievably comfortable.
