For the Love of Wine (and Duck Fat Garlic Bread)

It’s entirely possible the whole staff of Fig Magazine wants our next team outing to happen at Wine & Company on Meeting Street. Why? It might be the thoughtfully curated wine flights, the incredible selection of cured meats and cheeses, or the fact that there’s even beer for those among us who (gasp) prefer hops over vino. It could also be the special events and private tastings—or the team of knowledgeable wine enthusiasts and sommeliers who can guide even the pickiest palate toward the perfect full-bodied, sweet, crisp, or buttery pour.

Who are we kidding? It’s definitely all of the above.

Since opening their doors in early 2017, Wine & Company has become a favorite date-night destination for romantic locals and visitors alike. The space is warm, inviting, and intentionally designed for lingering over good conversation, excellent wine, and a few shared snacks. (And yes, you should absolutely order the duck fat garlic bread. Some things simply speak for themselves.)

Settle into a cozy chair, let the stress of the day melt away, and explore everything from celebratory bubbly to approachable everyday Cabernets. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or simply wine-curious, there’s something here worth savoring.

Wine & Company also hosts weekly public tastings every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., featuring five standout wines for just $10 per person (a steal in this economy). And while the tasting itself may not require a designated driver, chances are good you’ll want another glass of your favorite pour before the night is over, so please plan ahead.

Looking for something more private? Reserve a tasting for you and your closest friends, host your next book club gathering, or plan a work happy hour with a little extra sophistication. However you gather, Wine & Company believes the best moments are built around good wine, great friendships, and memories made together.
