Fast fashion is everywhere, and depending on who you ask, it’s either saving or destroying the world. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle, but for mother-daughter duo Barbara Griesedieck and Corinn Brunson, fashion has always been about something more lasting: quality, individuality, and the joy of wearing something truly beautiful.

At their boutique, julep, on Queen Street, you’ll find a thoughtfully curated mix of high-quality clothing in striking patterns and flattering silhouettes designed to give your wardrobe an effortless summer refresh.

The signature julep look blends clean lines with feminine details and timeless Southern style infused with international flair. Think flowing shirtdresses in breathable cottons and linens, crisp whites and warm peach tones accented by vibrant colors reminiscent of Mexico, Argentina, and beyond. There’s an ease to the collection that feels perfectly suited for Charleston summers.

Or rather, don’t think about it. Just go to julep.

Griesedieck and Brunson believe clothing should be experienced in person whenever possible. They want customers to feel the softness of the fabrics, notice the thoughtful stitching and unique embellishments, and discover that certain magic that happens when you put on something that simply feels right. (Need proof that clothes can change your whole mood? Rewatch The Devil Wears Prada. We stand by this theory.)

Of course, the team at julep also understands modern shopping habits. While they love welcoming customers into the boutique, their online store offers an equally personal experience. Many pieces are modeled by Brunson herself through casual, multi-angle selfies that somehow manage to feel chic, approachable, and delightfully real all at once.

And with the recent launch of Spritz, their sweet new children’s clothing line, the founders of julep are making sure even the littlest Lowcountry residents are dressed to impress.

So next time you find yourself wandering Queen Street, step inside julep. You may come for a summer dress, but don’t be surprised if you leave feeling a little more fabulous than when you arrived.
